Remember that time I visited the National Shrine of St. Francis of Assisi in San Francisco with “The Visitors?” I promised I would go back and take pictures of the scaled replica of Saint Francis’s Porziuncola (small portion of land), which is housed in a building attached to the shrine. They original Porzincola is housed in the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli (St. Mary of the Angels) in Assisi, Italy and is the birth place of the Franciscan movement.
The shrine is located in Little Italy, at the heart of the city and two blocks from my husbands office where he made me go pick up seven cases of popcorn one weekend. Kettle Popcorn, which is really yummy, but I didn’t need seven cases of popcorn in my house. There happened to be a street fair that day on Columbus Ave right in front of the Shrine, and it was open. So we went. And I happened to have my camera, which is the number one rule of being a good photographer, bring your camera.
Just following up on my promises. Happy Wednesday and Buen Camino.
P.S. That isn’t my husband. Just some unsuspecting tourist failing prey to my camera.
